There is a big range in these events, starting from local talent to big-name artists. So, choose your genre and enjoy the melody.
- CRSSD Fest
Let’s start with the biggest names in town, CRSSD Fest. A biannual celebration that sees close to 15,000 revellers in the Waterfront Park, swinging to music in the daytime. You also get to see Indie artists in a festival setting. Previous big names include Empire of the Sun, Chromeo, and Jamie XX. They’ve schedule the next event for March 2 and 3, 2019.
The arrival of X-FEST shows summer has reached San Diego, and it is time to party hard. Hosted by alt-rock radio station 91X, the fest happens at the SDCCU Stadium. They canceled the event in 2018 due to some reasons. But it is expected to happen in August 2019 as usual.
- San Diego Music Thing
This is as close as we can get to SXSW in the music arena. The event differs from other bigger ones in the way the focus is on small individual venues instead of one big stage. There will be a few big headliners each year. Purchase a wristband and you can shift from venue to venue and enjoy a wide genre of music. This event is best suited for music lovers who enjoy a wide spectrum of music.
- Adams Avenue Street Fair
If you love live music on the road, this is the event to attend. It’s a street fair and music event mixed into one. You can enjoy over 100 acts every September.
