San Diego is filled with music lovers and plays host to a lot of music events throughout the year. Since they are home to several big music festivals, no matter when you go, there is something fun to catch. All you need is a little bit of planning and our guide to San Diego’s music calendar for 2019.
The first event on our list is Kaaboo Del Mar Festival at Del Mar Fairgrounds. The event is scheduled to happen from September 13th to 15th. Kaboo is purely an adult experience festival. Be prepared to engage all five of your senses. Apart from world-class music, you will enjoy rib-tickling comedy events, contemporary art, gourmet cuisine and a lot of other pleasurable pursuits.
The Groove Cruise West Coast is not a typical music festival. It’s a music festival on a luxury cruise. What can be better than that? Groove Cruises have made a name for themselves around the United States for their unmatched experience. San Diego cruise is planned for October 10 to 14th. Book in advance to make sure you have a spot.
If you need a land-based music gala, we recommend CRSSD’s 2-day festival that happens twice a year. The event is held at Waterfront Park and is super popular. Their line-up is top rated and there are a bunch of after event activities to keep you engaged. The next event is scheduled to happen on September 29th and 30th.
The West Coast Weekender happens every May in San Diego. But it is not just a music festival. It is a celebration of dance, music and culture. The event attracts a lot of out of towners so it is best to book your hotel rooms in advance. The mix of local talent and the underground community makes the event a unique experience.
